Fosse Riders 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance

If you wish to book your place at the Fosse Riders 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance at the Devonshire Place, London Road (about 200yds up from the station, on the same side) then please contact Pauline Cotterill in any of the following ways:-

Make sure you give/send Pauline a deposit of £10.00 per ticket (cheques to be made payable to 'Fosse Riders MCA') to secure your seat at the table. Places are going fast and the interest in this once in a lifetime get together is gaining momentum. If you know of any ex-members who may be interested in coming along and meeting up with some of their old mates then please pass on these details. Don't forget to sort out and bring along some old photos to embarrass your mates.

Fosse Riders 50th Anniversary Celebrations:

 

Dinner Dance - 5th September 2009

This is a more formal ‘do’ and will take place at the Devonshire Place, London Road, Leicester. Commonly known as the Lodge.

Start time will be early (arriving 6.30pm for a 7.00pm dinner) as we have to leave by midnight. Something to do with pumpkins and coaches I had heard!!!

There are 72 car parking places in a secure walled car park next to the building. As the dinning room only holds around 120 people you will need to book your place ASAP. It will be a ‘first come, first served’ arrangement so be aware.

We will have a reception room where we hope to hand out a welcoming glass of water, or maybe something a bit stronger, depending on funds available.

The main dining room will be decorated to our taste (again depending on funds) and there is a fixed stage at one end where the orchestra, …… sorry, 3 piece band, will play. We may be able to stretch to a disco too, otherwise it’s Fred on his Danset and a selection of 78’s.

The menu will have to be sorted carefully as it has to be a single ‘one meal fits all’ type. Veggies will be catered for separately, so don’t worry about that. We have checked the beer and wine situation and they have a good selection and are reasonably priced.

Tickets have been set at £25 each. This cost will barely cover the three course meal so the club will be dipping into its 50th Anniversary fund once again to provide the music, flowers, decorations etc.
