WHO ARE THE FOSSE RIDERS?
If you have already heard of us then please take the time
to come along to our club house, for those of you who are
new to biking or have recently been "born again"
please read on.
The club was formed in 1959 and it's first meeting place
was the County Arms pub in Blaby, we moved from pub to pub
as the Landlords changed until we finally came to our present
clubhouse 18 years ago.
Over the years various improvements have been made to the
clubhouse, including inside loos, central heating and even
carpeting, but don't get the impression that we spend all
our time working on the clubhouse ....... Far from it!
We have travelled to most parts of the continent, from Spain
to North cape, from France to Poland and every country in
between, club members have been as far affield as New Zealand
and Australia, most recently one of our members returned
from a Biking tour in the States.
The Fosse Riders also organise motorcycle ride-outs at the
weekends to places of interest and take part in various
Charity rides. We organise the marshalling for the Combined
Children's Charity Walk and have had a stand at the BMF
show in Peterborough in May. In July, some of our members
ride in the 24-hour National Rally whilst others man the
clubhouse, as it is one of the main National Rally check
points.
Come on down and check us out we are a friendly bunch, you
even get your first cuppa on us!
